Abstract:
We propose an efficient and robust method for tracking point
features in image sequences undergoing translational and scaling
deformation. The method is based on a new algorithm which combines
the sum-of-squared differences criterion and Tomasi-Kanade's model
to monitor a feature and detect occlusions. The algorithm runs in
real time on a personal computer and we test performance with
several simulations and experiments.
