A Novel Approach for 3D Image Reconstruction

 

Abstract:

While studying the 3D reconstruction of video or image sequences, we propose a new approach to get the dense structure from a sparse reconstruction. Unlike the traditional methods, we do not require fully correspondence between two images. We use a divide and conquer method which first geometrically segments the background of the image, then use surface fitting to recover the depth information of each pixel.
